Our site is located in a beautiful wooded valley near to Wadebridge. We have a pretty stream that meanders through the valley that you are welcome to fish in, or just site and watch the world go by.
We have walks through gently sloping woodland and wildflower woods, birdsong and blue skies.

Newquay |
Padstow |
The pretty market town of Wadebridge is a few miles away, interesting shops and restaurants, beautiful
river walks and the mid way point of the Camel Trail that runs from Bodmin Moor to Padstow. A wonderful, gentle walk or cycle in either direction. (Cycle hire is available from Wadebridge, alternatively, bring your
own bikes to explore the local areas.)
At one end of the Camel Trail is the fishing port of Padstow. One of the most picturesque fishing ports in Cornwall, with its very own celebrity chef… Plenty of family pubs and restaurants, fishing of the harbour
walls, and several different boat rides to explore the Cornish coast…
…and a short ferry ride to Rock, beautiful sandy beaches, dunes and reputedly one of the most expensive places to live in the world…

The Eden Project |
Or
course, if you want to get away from it all, why not take the Camel
Trail out towards
Bodmin Moor?
Stop in the town of Bodmin, visit the old jail
where smugglers were housed, and
then head up to the moor…
Bodmin
Moor is an area of outstanding natural beauty, scattered with pretty moor land
villages and
farms. Stunning scenery and wildlife, and a draw too many painters
and artists who find
inspiration from the
rugged bleakness of the landscape.
A
few miles away near the town of St Austell is the world famous Eden
Project, futuristic bio
domes house exotic plants from the equator, North and
South America as well as more temperate
zones. Of course the
Eden Project changes
with the seasons, so no two visits will ever be the
same. You may also be lucky
and catch some of the summer Eden Sessions, world renowned
musicians and performers
throughout
the summer months.
If gardens are you thing, a visit to the Lost Gardens of Helligan are a must….laying in ruins and forgotten
about for many years, the grounds have now been restored to their former glory, formal gardens, wildlife habitats, trails and trees…a little bit of history in the making.

Port Isaac |
Watergate Bay |
You might recognise Port Isaac…made famous by the TV series Doc Martin, you will find narrow streets,
pubs and bars, a quaint harbour and beautiful walks along the cliffs.
Talking of cliffs, Cornwall is pretty much surrounded by water, so head for any sea side village and
you are sure to find beautiful costal and cliff pathways…..
Of course, we couldn't not mention surfing and body boarding…pick any beach and you will probably
find one or other activities. Our personal favourite is Polzeath, wide open beaches, waves pretty much
all year, lots of room to build sandcastles and plenty of places to buy or hire the equipment. You will
also find around many of the surfing beaches the opportunity to be taught to surf, great if you are
a beginner, and all the stuff you need is provided!
Continue West from any where in Cornwall and you will get to Lands End…next stop, America!
(Or perhaps Southern Ireland). Stand on England's most westerly tip and watch the sun setting.
Enjoy all the attractions that are on offer, great for kids and those that are kids at heart.
Of course, Cornwall has so much to offer, beach holidays, walking tours, culture, theatre,
ice-cream and candyfloss, sandcastles, surfing, fishing...we cannot begin to try to cover all
of the wonderful experiences you can have.
